International Learning and Research Centre

The school has close links with the International Learning and Research Centre (ILRC) based at the Sir Bernard Lovell Language College.  All the staff at Longwell Green are affiliated researchers and are currently working on a range of projects connected with language learning, personalised learning and the continuity of learning as children move from Primary into Secondary education.

Bath Spa University

Longwell Green has a close association with the University’s Department of Education.  Each year we host a number of trainee teachers as they work towards qualified teacher status. A number of our staff are working towards accreditation for a Master degree through school research based activities.  This has been nationally acknowledged as a work of significance.
