In Year 3 we have high expectations! We are polite and respectful to each other and to all adults making our classes a happy and safe place where we enjoy learning.
We have two trips each year: In Term two we go to the Roman Baths and in Term 6 we go to a reconstructed Celtic village, the Peat Moors Visitor Centre, near Glastonbury.
We have indoor PE on a Monday and outdoor PE on a Thursday. Please make sure you have your kit in school! We also go swimming in Year 3. This starts in February.
We made beebot mats, based on 2D shapes. We learnt how to programme a beebot and sent it on journeys to visit different shapes. As we got better at this we made the beebots race against each other to names shapes. We also programmed the beebot to complete a race on a track.

We made animations based on different buildings in a Roman town. We worked in groups making and painting the backgrounds and characters, writing the scripts and practising moving the characters and rehearsing their conversations. We then went to the hall extension to make our movies.

We used the digital microscopes to support our science work on materials. It was amazing to see what some of the materials looked like very close up.

In Numeracy we have been looking at symmetry. We made these patterns by cutting sticky paper and swapping the sections around. They are very clever and great fun to make.
