Signpost to other agencies – Health Services such as School Nurse, Parent Support Advisor from Barnardos, Parenting Consultants, Family Learning and Extended School Advisors.
Provide parent support and information.
Support with children’s behaviour and attendance.
Develop parental engagement with their child’s learning through workshops.
Hold Family Forum meetings and Workshops such as Support with Reading .
Support with transition to Secondary School.
Pyramid 4 Parents courses.
Develop Healthy Eating awareness and Cooking Clubs.
Experience:
City and Guilds in Learning Support.
Higher Level Teaching Assistant status.
Parent Pathway Diploma
Parent Support Mentor training.
Pyramid4 Parents training.
Team Leader Level 4.
Teaching Assistant since 1999.
Able to listen, offer support, stability, empathy and care.
Well versed in aspects of Social and Emotional Aspects of Learning(SEAL)
Knowledge of Behaviour Management Strategies.
Parent of three grown up children.
Times available:
Wednesday from 3.15 pm.
Thursday from 3.15 pm.
Friday from 1pm to 3.15 pm.
