After School Club

Welcome to Longwell Green Primary School After School Club

 The club has been designed to be as flexible as possible for working families and those who may only need to use it occasionally. 

Parents are welcome to collect children early; they can also attend activity clubs before coming to after school club

Charges (September 2021):

   £10.00 per session, £7.00 for siblings

We also accept tax free childcare vouchers to pay for after school club.  Please contact the office for more information.


Should be made via School Money online payment system.  On the day bookings need to be made via the School Office

Food provided at After School Club

The cost of after school club includes a light snack which is prepared in the food activity room by the staff.  This would typically be toast, cereal, crumpets and fruit, with milk or water to drink.

Parents and carers are requested to complete a registration form and list any dietary and medical needs so that the after school club staff are fully able to support all children at the club.

Activities at Breakfast Club

After School Club is established to provide good quality care for children; their safety is paramount and our activities are geared towards providing them with a range of interesting things to do within a calm and purposeful environment.

The children will be collected or meet the supervisors in a designated assembly place.  The programme for the evening will depend on the weather and time of year but they will always have snack time and go outside for games. 

The rest of the session will comprise of some of the following:

  • Table top games, colouring and puzzles
  • Den making
  • Small world imaginative play
  • Reading with adult/Homework
  • Painting or craft activity

Ethos and Behaviour

The ethos at After School Club supports the school’s GREAT values of growthrespect, enjoyment, ambition and togetherness. The organisation is designed to help children develop in a number of ways:

  • gaining independence and self-esteem
  • showing respect to each other and the adult supervisors
  • enjoying the food and range of activities on offer
  • trying new games and activities
  • playing together with everyone else at After School Club.

Opening times:

Monday to Friday, 3.15 pm to 5.45 pm

You are welcome to collect your child at any time.  If you intend to regularly collect early this can be notified on the Registration Form.

The staff who work at After School Club are all employed by the school and have undergone the necessary Safeguarding checks and Child Protection training.  They have an awareness of food handling and first aid training.
