Easter Update

Dear Parents and Carers,

It has certainly been an odd two weeks, but we have been so pleased to read / see / watch all the great things your children have been doing as you have been sharing it with us via dojo, keep up the amazing work.  The resilience of the Longwell Green community is amazing and this is a credit to each and every one of you.  We have heard about such lovely stories of helping each other and remote support, as well as making the best; it has been fantastic.

We have said it a number of times now, but we know things are not always great at the moment, but each one of us are playing our part to help keyworkers keep us safe and fed.  Once again, a hue thank you to the keyworkers who are doing such an amazing job in increasingly tough conditions.  Hopefully with the enormous efforts we are all making in our own ways, we have started to stem the virus and it’ll all be over soon.

In the meantime, we have created a directory (divided into useful headings) of ideas to keep everyone entertained and active over the Easter break.  We made the decision that although it is not school time, you may well appreciate more things to do while giving children a chance to have a break from learning for themselves.  The items are a mix of fun activity ideas, amazing free offers, website links, mental health and wellbeing, learning and play ideas as well as much more. (See below)

We will have class organised learning packs on the website ready for the first week back after Easter.

Below is also a really useful newsletter created by the South Glos’ SEND team called “SENsational learning ideas”, with a great collection of wellbeing and home learning advice.

From everyone at Longwell Green School, we wish you a great Easter and we look forward to seeing you all again soon.
