Family Link Advisor

My name is Jenny Hatcliffe and I am the school-based Family Link Advisor. I am available to work with any family who need extra information or support about school matters, as well as those families requiring help accessing other agencies. I have access to an extensive range of information and can signpost parents to a variety of services and also work closely with the school SENDCo. I am also a qualified ELSA practitioner.

I am happy to talk through any concerns, no matter how small and can be contacted via the school office.

My Role

• Meet and greet children and families every morning offering reassurance as necessary and communicate any issues to class teachers.
• Provide parent support and information.
• Offer ELSA sessions to provide emotional development and social support to children.
• Able to listen, offer support, stability, empathy and care, using counselling skills.
• Support with children’s behaviour and attendance.
• Signpost to other agencies, such as school nurse or parenting consultants.
